For taking samples of water, sewage, wastes and effluents from lakes, streams, tanks, or ponds, the water sample dipper provides a long reach for otherwise inaccessible spots. A 1000 mL graduated polypropylene pitcher (included) is mounted on an aluminum tube handle. The handle has 3 parts, a 91 cm (36") lower section, a 112 cm (44") telescoping section, and an additional 91 cm (36") upper section. Connections are made with spring buttons with adjusting steps, 15 cm (72") apart. Minimum handle length is 91 cm (36"), maximum length is 274 cm (108"). Handle diameter is 25 mm (1") with 22 mm (7/8") telescoping tube.
